Plaza De Indepencia & the Markets of Montevideo

With as much to offer as it’s competitor store fronts, the outdoor markets are busy all the day. The bus system is organized, and reliable,  just ignore their un uniform look. Remember to waive if you want them to stop for you.

The city is polite, and the mood is tranquil.  Though the people can tell you are not native, they don’t treat you like an outsider.  I’m not sure when people work in this city, as they seem to have as much free time as us visitors.  The city shuts down early week days, and it seems only places that serve alcohol are open late on weekends.
